Why is folic acid provided in its folate form?
We’ve chosen to use the body-ready form of folic acid, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, which bypasses the body’s need to convert folic acid before it can be utilised. This is important as some people have a reduced ability to convert folic acid into the active and useable form.
